Congenital Dental Issues

Congenital dental issues are dental conditions that you are born with or that develop during your lifetime. They can include teeth failing to develop, developmental malformations such as dark or rough teeth, and other conditions.

Many congenital conditions are eligible for treatment funding through the Ministry of Health. To qualify, the condition must be identified and diagnosed by the McMaster University or SickKids Dental Department. The funding covers a certain percentage of the treatment costs. Contact our office or the Ministry of Health to learn more about coverage.
